Water treatment chemicals

Water treatment chemicals supplier in the UAE

We are a focused supplier, not a catalogue. Coagulation is what we do — polyaluminium chloride, supplied properly, with the technical support to get your dose right.

Where PAC sits in the treatment train

Coagulation is the first real decision point in almost every clarification process. Raw water carries fine colloidal particles that will not settle on their own because they repel each other. A coagulant neutralises that charge so the particles can collide and stick together, forming floc that a clarifier or filter can actually remove.

Polyaluminium chloride is the coagulant that has displaced alum across most of the region, and for good practical reasons: it works over a wider pH band, consumes far less alkalinity, produces denser and faster-settling floc, and performs better in cold or low-turbidity water where alum struggles.

After coagulation comes flocculation, where a polymer bridges the destabilised particles into larger flocs. PAC and polymer are complements, not alternatives — getting the PAC dose right first almost always reduces how much polymer you need downstream.

Process

The treatment stages we support

Raw water clarification

Turbidity, colour and organic removal from surface, brackish and well water ahead of filtration.

Sewage and municipal STP

Primary and chemically enhanced primary treatment, plus phosphorus precipitation to meet discharge limits.

Industrial effluent

Suspended solids, COD, oil and emulsion breaking in food, beverage, dairy, textile, laundry and metal-finishing streams.

Sludge conditioning

Improving dewaterability ahead of belt press, centrifuge or filter press to cut cake volume and disposal cost.

Cooling water side-stream

Clarifying make-up and side-stream water for district cooling and industrial cooling towers.

Desalination pre-treatment

Pre-treating feed water ahead of ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membranes to protect membrane life.

“A cheaper coagulant that needs 30% more dose and produces more sludge is not a cheaper coagulant. Judge it on cost per cubic metre treated, not price per tonne.”

UAE regulatory context

Chemicals used in potable water treatment in the UAE are expected to meet recognised drinking-water grade standards — typically NSF/ANSI 60 certification or an equivalent national standard — and your consultant or authority will ask for evidence at approval stage. Confirm the required certification for your specific project before you order, because the answer differs between potable and non-potable applications.

For handling and storage, PAC is classified as a corrosive material. Sites need appropriate bunding, compatible storage materials, eyewash and shower provision, and staff trained on the Safety Data Sheet. Chemical storage on industrial sites in Dubai also falls under Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence requirements, which vary by quantity stored.

None of this is exotic, but it is worth confirming before a shipment is on the water rather than after. We can supply the documentation set up front so your HSE and compliance team can review it before you commit.

FAQ

Common questions

Our core product is PAC. For other treatment chemicals we can often point you to a reliable regional source, but we only quote and stand behind what we actually supply.

PAC is widely used in potable water treatment worldwide, but the specific grade must meet the drinking-water standard your authority or consultant requires. Confirm the required certification for your project before ordering.

We can share typical dose ranges by application and talk through your jar test results, but the correct dose must be established on your actual water by your plant team or consultant. There is no reliable substitute for a jar test.

Not currently. We focus on coagulant supply and can advise on how PAC dosing affects downstream polymer demand.
