Where our PAC is working

Municipal plants, industrial sites, sludge operations and export distributors across the UAE, GCC and Africa. Below are the sectors we supply and what each one measures success by.

Bagged Al Burj PAC coagulant stacked in a municipal plant store, Ghana

Municipal water treatment

During the rainy season our raw water turbidity would spike above 250 NTU and our conventional alum dosing simply could not keep up. We switched to Al Burj’s high-basicity PAC and within one week our settled water turbidity dropped from an average of 18 NTU down to 3–4 NTU. We have since reduced our coagulant consumption by roughly 30% and no longer need to double-dose when the river floods. We now run through approximately 60 tonnes per month, year-round.

Sewage treatment plant

Our previous PAC supplier had batch-to-batch variability that forced us to re-calibrate dosing pumps every fortnight. Since moving to Al Burj, we have run the same jar-tested dose for six months straight. Lead time from order confirmation to delivery at our gate is consistently five working days, which lets us hold minimal inventory. We are dosing 12% less coagulant by dry weight compared to our old supply, and our final effluent suspended solids have never been more stable. The plant burns through roughly 70 tonnes per month across both primary and secondary clarifiers.

Industrial effluent

Our food-processing effluent was consistently failing the local authority COD discharge limit of 150 mg/L, running at 190–210 mg/L even after biological treatment. Al Burj ran jar tests on our mixed effluent and recommended a PAC grade we had not previously considered. Within the first month our final effluent COD stabilised at 110–125 mg/L. We have cleared three consecutive regulatory audits with no observations, and the chemical cost is lower than the fines we used to budget for. Our steady consumption is about 8 tonnes monthly.

Warehouse stacked with bagged PAC awaiting distribution to East African contractors

Export — distribution

We import PAC for resale to municipal contractors across the East African corridor. What sets Al Burj apart is not just pricing — it is the completeness of their batch documentation. Every Certificate of Analysis matches the landed consignment exactly, which means our customs clearance and client handover happen without delay. In eighteen months of orders we have not had a single documentation query from port authorities or end-users. We move roughly 30 tonnes a month through our warehouse.

Palletised coagulant and polymer consignment loaded for a Qatar sludge dewatering client

Sludge dewatering

We were sending eighteen tanker loads of wet sludge to landfill every month. Al Burj’s cationic polymer and PAC programme improved our belt-press cake solids from 14% to 22%. That single change cut our tanker movements to eleven per month and reduced our annual sludge disposal spend by roughly 35%. The payback period on the revised chemical programme was less than six weeks. We currently consume around 15 tonnes of coagulant and flocculant combined each month.

How we work

What every client gets, regardless of size

Batch documentation

A Certificate of Analysis tied to the actual production batch ships with every consignment, plus a current Safety Data Sheet.

Spec matching on reorder

Repeat orders are matched to your previously approved batch, so your jar-tested dose does not move between deliveries.

One named contact

Quotes, orders, shipping documents and reorders run through one person on WhatsApp. No shared inbox.

Honest lead times

We quote against a shipment we can actually book, and tell you the day it slips — not the week it was due.

Trial quantities

One tonne to test on your water before you commit. No annual volume commitment required to get a competitive price.

Technical answers

We will talk through your jar test results and raw water analysis whether or not you end up ordering from us.
